Empowering Communications has been a global leader in promoting communications as a constructive force for positive social change.  We have been the architect of media initiatives in dozens of countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe and Latin American that have promoted health, well-being, human rights, understanding, participatory democracy, good governance, conflict resolution and peace. In the arena of health, these communications initiatives have mobilized individuals and communities around issues such as behavior change, child survival, HIV/AIDS, malaria, polio eradication, reproductive health, TB, and anti-microbial resistance. 

We have also designed media initiatives around conflict prevention and resolution for the Balkans, Afghanistan, Angola, Burundi, India, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rwanda, Somalia and Zimbabwe.  These initiatives have been responsible for the broadcast of thousands of programs designed for people caught up in crisis including refugee populations.

Empowering Communications implements projects and provides consulting services designed to empower individuals, communities and organizations through constructive communication. Empowering communications reaches out through speakers, workshops, mass media and community engagement. These services that it provides include

• the organization and facilitation of workshops for media professionals and for public relations personnel in both the public and private sectors

• the design, development and operational oversight of TV and radio production and broadcast initiatives,

• the design and implementation of curriculum and distance learning projects using state of the art digital communications technologies

• the formulation and implementation of creative advocacy, social mobilization and communications strategies

• project design and proposal writing

• quantitative research and qualitative appraisals and the production of national health Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization strategy plans
